Certification status
A brand’s certification status shows whether they are meeting their obligations under the Climate Active Carbon Neutral Standard for their certification type. This status is listed on their brand profile page under Certified Brands.
Active
An active status means the brand is currently certified and meeting the requirements of the Climate Active Carbon Neutral Standard for their relevant certification.
Pending
A pending status means that the brand has outstanding obligations to meet the certification requirements. We assign a ‘pending’ status before we begin the formal compliance process.
Suspended
A suspended status means the brand is non-compliant but has not yet been terminated from the program.
Climate Active will suspend, rather than terminate, a certification when there is evidence the brand intends to keep engaging with the program.
The brand has six months to fix the non-compliance before Climate Active will terminate the certification.
Terminated
A terminated status means the brand has been terminated from the program due to non-compliance.
This occurs after Climate Active has given the brand several opportunities to address the non-compliance.
Withdrawn
A withdrawn status means the brand has voluntarily left the Climate Active program.
