Greenfleet is a leading not-for-profit organisation committed to protecting our climate by restoring our forests. We plant native biodiverse forests in Australia and New Zealand to capture carbon emissions on behalf of our supporters.
Since 1997 we have planted 9.4+ million trees and created more than 500 forests in Australia and New Zealand. Our forests are legally protected for up to 100 years, conserving biodiversity and restoring habitat for wildlife.
“Join us by offsetting your carbon emissions and become part of a passionate community taking practical action on climate change.”
Type of certification
How long have you been certified carbon neutral?
Since December 2020.
Why did you choose to go carbon neutral?
Climate change is threatening our environment and the planet.
Greenfleet is protecting our climate by planting native forests in Australia and New Zealand. We believe that practical action taken now will reduce the impact caused by climate change in the future.
We envision a world where every individual, every business and every community feel connected to our climate and empowered to protect our environment.
At Greenfleet, we are growing our forests and growing climate hope. We believe we can create a better, greener future if we act now.
Greenfleet operates in the voluntary carbon offset market. We work with partners in both voluntary and regulated markets and choose to show our support by joining them.
What are the anticipated benefits of your carbon neutral certification?
Greenfleet has been measuring, reducing and offsetting our carbon footprint for many years. Through this certification, we will combine Climate Active Carbon Neutral certification to our own Australian ecosystem restoration.
What offset project do you support?
A wind power project in India.
How can the community support you?
By taking practical climate action with Greenfleet.
We will continue to provide simple ways in which everyone can take climate action, enabling our supporters to donate and offset a wide range of carbon-emitting activities.
Together we can grow our forests and climate hope.
What else are you doing to reduce emissions?
We lay the grounds for hope by empowering people to take tangible and long-lasting environmental action.
Greenfleet sequesters carbon in Australia and New Zealand to help fight the impact of climate change. We not only restore ecosystems, but are also exploring soil and blue carbon and are working closely with First Nations groups.
What advice would you give to a business considering certification?
Getting started is easy. Join us by offsetting your carbon emissions and become part of a passionate community taking practical action on climate change. We encourage everyone to reduce where possible, work with a trusted partner to measure your impact, and offset the emissions that can’t be avoided.
