How long have you been certified carbon neutral?
Since December 2021.
Why did you choose to go carbon neutral?
Talent Nation was already carbon neutral however we are a firm believer in 3rd party certification to authenticate organisational claims.
What are the anticipated benefits of your carbon neutral certification?
At Talent Nation we believe in walking the talk. We are a key partner for organisations in identifying talent for their NetZero commitments, so as a supplier we would not be comfortable adding to their scope 3 emissions.
What offset project do you support?
A savanna burning project in Northern Territory, Australia.
Why did you choose this project?
As a BCorp we are always seeking opportunities to support local, female owned and indigenous owned businesses. This project also aligns with our broader sustainability strategy.
What else are you doing to reduce emissions?
Talent Nation has set a number of goals and commitments moving forward:
- Purchasing 100% GreenPower.
- Upgrading office lighting.
- Implementing travel policy for use of public transport to attend client meetings.
- End of trip facilities in offices
- Provision for EV charging at Head Office.
What advice would you give to a business considering certification?
Start by reducing your energy consumption and waste and implement behaviour change initiatives through the engagement of your team. NetZero by 2050 demands action in this decade so don’t wait to do your part in the fight against climate change.
