Tokyo Gas Australia is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tokyo Gas Co. Ltd. Tokyo Gas Co is a Japanese utility company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Additionally, the organisation is Japan's largest provider of city gas, serving more than 11 million customers for over 130 years, primarily in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
The primary activities of Tokyo Gas Australia include investment and participation in various joint ventures that own and operate the LNG projects for the production and supply of liquefied natural gas and condensate for export, and the production and supply of domestic gas for sale within Australia.

Why did you choose to go carbon neutral?
In its management vision "Compass 2030", Tokyo Gas Group has set forth the challenge of reducing CO2 emissions to net-zero throughout the Group's business activities. We will continue to promote efforts to reduce the environmental impact on a global scale through initiatives in Japan and overseas. Being carbon neutral is part of our efforts to achieve net-zero emissions in Australia.
What are the anticipated benefits of your carbon neutral certification?
We are continually exploring opportunities to reduce our carbon footprint, which will ultimately benefit us on further energy savings, less printing and paper waste, and increased awareness of energy saving and efficiency.

A wind power project in India.
How can customers support you?
Tokyo Gas Australia are the first Japanese company in Australia to receive carbon neutral certification for its Australian offices. Being certified by Climate Active as carbon neutral will further promote our environmental efforts as a group and make a positive impact to the community and customers.
What else are you doing to reduce emissions?
We are continually exploring opportunities to reduce our carbon footprint such as reducing energy consumption, promote recycling activities, and purchase high-efficiency energy equipment.
