Energy Buster

Energy Buster was established in 2019 with the aim of implementing proven solutions for reducing negative environmental impacts, focusing on the residential and small business (SME) markets. We design and provide holistic energy solutions, including energy efficiency measures, solar PV, and billing optimisation.

Our team is made up of skilled engineers, scientists and senior electricians who specialise in energy saving. Over many years we have provided solutions for some of Australia’s largest energy users.

“The benefits of certification can be broad and multifaceted - ranging from environmental, economic, promotional and cultural.”

Type of certification

Organisation.

How long have you been certified carbon neutral?

Since September 2021.

Why did you choose to go carbon neutral?

It is just the right thing to do. Global warming is already having an impact on the world that will only increase and we need everyone doing what they can to reduce and mitigate their emissions.

What are the anticipated benefits of your carbon neutral certification?

Sustainability is one of our core values, as our business name implies. We consider the environmental impact of everything we do through preferring products and services that support more sustainable outcomes, with particular emphasis on longer lasting solutions.

What offset project do you support?

A solar power plant project in India.

Why did you choose this project?

The project activity involves the installation of 20MWAC solar power project in Karnataka. The project will replace anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG’s) estimated to be approximately 34,462 tCO2e per year, thereon displacing 36,372 MWh/year amount of electricity from the generation-mix of power plants connected to the Indian electricity grid, which is mainly dominated by thermal/fossil fuel-based power plant.

This project helps to create employment opportunities, infrastructure, and clean technology investment in the region. In addition, it reduces the production of specific pollutants like SOx, NOx, and SPM associated with conventional thermal power generation facilities.

How can customers support you?

Make contact and allow us to design a cashflow positive energy solution to reduce your emissions.

What else are you doing to reduce emissions?

Some of our emission reduction actions (see PDS for more) are:

  • upgraded waste management system;
  • vehicles recently bought for the majority of the sales team and by directors were hybrids;
  • transitioning catering to be plant-based is a long-term initiative;
  • the sales process currently involves paper-based proposals and documentation. Initiatives are currently being pursued to transition a majority of this to digital presentations. It is envisioned that much of this will be in place by the end of the next reporting period;
  • recycling of used or damaged solar panels; and
  • used pallets are given away instead of going to general waste.

What has been the impact of your action?

More engaged staff and emission reductions.

What advice would you give to a business considering certification?

The benefits of certification can be broad and multifaceted - ranging from environmental, economic, promotional and cultural.
