Sustainable Savings was founded in 2015, our primary goal is to provide organisations with cashflow positive solutions, reducing their environmental impact and greenhouse gas emissions. We design and implement turnkey holistic energy solutions that including energy efficiency measures, solar PV, and billing optimisation. Our child company, Energy Buster, was “born” in 2019 and delivers similar outcomes to the residential and small to medium enterprise (SME) markets. Sustainable Savings holds a full electricity retail licence used to implement and manage embedded networks. The current emission boundary includes the business operations of Sustainable Savings only, we plan to certify Energy Buster for CY2020.
“Sustainability is one of our core values, we consider the environmental impact of everything we do.”
Type of certification
How long have you been certified carbon neutral?
Sustainable Savings achieved Climate Active certification in 2020.
Why did you choose to go carbon neutral?
It is just the right thing to do. Global warming is already having an impact on the world that will only increase and we need everyone doing what they can to reduce and mitigate their emissions.
What are the anticipated benefits of your carbon neutral certification?
Sustainability is one of our core values, as our business name implies. We consider the environmental impact of everything we do, preferencing products and services that support more sustainable outcomes, with particular emphasis on longer lasting solutions.
What offset projects do you support?
We support a grid interactive solar photovoltaic power project in India.
Why did you choose this project?
How can the community support you?
Make contact and allow us to design a cashflow positive solution to reduce your emissions.
What else are you doing to reduce emissions?
Some of our emission reduction actions (see PDS for more) are:
- upgraded waste management system
- vehicles recently bought for the sales team and by directors were hybrids
- transitioning catering to be plant-based is a long-term initiative
- the sales process currently involves paper-based proposals and documentation. Initiatives are currently being pursued to transition a majority of this to digital presentations. It is envisioned that much of this will be in place by the end of the next reporting period.
What advice would you give to a business considering certification?
The benefits of certification can be broad and multifaceted - ranging from environmental, economic, promotional and cultural.
